Tsavo East National Park<\/strong> is\u00a0Kenya’s oldest and largest national park, famous for its vast, dry plains, large herds of red elephants, and iconic “Maneaters of Tsavo” lions, offering classic safari experiences with diverse wildlife like lions, buffalo, giraffes, and abundant birdlife, featuring unique spots like the Yatta Plateau and Aruba Dam. Located in southeastern Kenya, it provides a rugged wilderness adventure with opportunities for game drives and birdwatching.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sight of dust-red elephants wallowing, rolling and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of the palm-shaded Galana River is one of the most evocative images in Africa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This, along with the 300-kilometre-long Yatta Plateau, the longest lava flow in the world, makes for an adventure unlike any other in the Tsavo East. The park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust \u2013red elephant, Rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbucks, lesser Kudu, gerenuk and the prolific bird life features 500 recorded species.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
